The Ohio Preservation Council (OPC) and the Ohio Digitization Interest Group (OhioDIG) will hold their first joint meeting on May 8, 2025, at the Parson Branch, Columbus Metro Library, 1113 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH.
The theme of the meeting will be disasters and disasters preparedness. Archives, libraries, museums, and cultural heritage organizations are often vulnerable to natural and human-made disasters, ranging from burst pipes, floods, fires, mold, cyber-attacks and so much more. Has your organization responded to a local disaster? What lessons were learned? If you haven't experienced a disaster, has your organization developed and implemented a disaster preparedness plan to safeguard your collections?
